Information
Creation of a fictional level for "A Plague Tale" following specific instructions given by Laura Mas Maury, a Level Designer from Asobo.
Requirements
Medieval themed abbey from Europe
Map
I based my level design on an existing abbey but transformed it into a perfumery. I modified the primary function of the rooms to make each one have a purpose for the player to explore while matching my theme and maintaining some aspects of reality.
Legend
I used simple forms and colors to describe different objects on the map and separated them by categories to keep a clear vision of the plan.
Condition
Amicia and Lucas have to steal a relic located in the chapel without hurting any monk.
Stealth and sling mechanics required.

I used different paths for the way in and out to avoid repetition in the pathing.
Enemies are placed so that Amicia has to navigate through many rooms to dodge and distract them.
The abbey is visible from afar and important zones haves noticeable clues like the smoke coming from a room or even the top of the chapel due to its tower structure.
When escaping, the alerted enemies will block previously used path and force the player to flee by a new route.
Condition
Solving a puzzle is required to obtain the relic.

Amicia has to light up four altars in a specific order. Each altar is linked to a painting of a roman goddess scattered in the chapel, in which a clue about the number is hidden inside.
